What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly. ~Richard Bach

I was out early this morning hoping to catch a photo of this pupa I noticed 2 days ago. Alas! It is now empty. Somewhere out there a lovely butterfly hovering among the flowers came from this home.

The butterfly is a flying flower,
The flower a tethered butterfly.
~Ponce Denis Écouchard Lebrun

May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.

I never bit without a reason,
I ne’er insulted weaker brother,
Nor wronged by force or fraud another.
We brutes are placed a rank below;
Happy for man could he say so.

One of the highlights of our family trip to Singapore was the time spent in the night safari. This little lion is a giveaway for the group package we paid. Since then, Simba ( as what i call him) has always graced my work bags. Looking at this lion brings back happy thoughts and hopes for more family travels.
